Being a good steward of your money may require some skills and knowledge. I highly recommend making a budget for you and your family. Live below your means. And know what you can and cannot afford. I cannot emphasize the importance of having a budget. There are many budgeting apps out there or you could just use the traditional spreadsheets. Another thing is if you have a home based business like the one I am currently in you have the advantage of taking control of your taxes! And your taxes is your greatest expense.
